The Massachusetts Association of Vocational Administrators (MAVA) represents the interests of vocational technical educators and administrators from public high schools throughout the commonwealth.
Teachers are required to obtain 150 PDP's every five years. This site is the best reference source for finding relevant courses for your professional development needs.

Kevin Farr, Executive Director of MAVA, brings over 34 years of leadership in Career Technical Education (CTE). Retiring from Upper Cape Tech as Superintendent after 33 years and 1 year as Interim Superintendent at Smith Vocational and Agricultural High School. Kevin remains committed to guiding our school districts into the new millennium.
Kevin believes in collaboration, community service and unity amongst all members of technical education in the commonwealth of Massachusetts.

MAVA Cancellations and Postponements
Outstanding Vocational Student Awards Banquet for April 9, 2020 has been CANCELLED.
Leadership Academy I has been postponed from April 2020 to November 2020 (dates to be determined).
Leadership Academy II has been postponed from April 3 and 4 to TENTATIVE DATES of May 8 and 9, 2020.
All MAVA/Fitchburg Courses have gone online till further notice.
Meeting in Malden with Commssioner and MAVA Officers April 6, 2020has not been addressed at this time.
